OUR STORY
Our story began in Year 2010, when Mr. Jerry Lee decided to go back to photography to see if he still has it in him to do the art that he loves. Eventually, he takes his journey towards building Frame of Mind Photography in November 2013.
BEHIND THE LENSES
"Uncle,”a member of the Nikon F2 Club, instilled his compositional fundamentals to Jerry in his early teenage years. He remembers being taught that photograph becomes significantly more powerful if he is able to extract emotions out of the subject he aims his lenses on. An advice he keeps in his heart until this very day.
In 1976, he organized the first photography club at Colegio De San Juan de Letran, his alma mater. He traces his photographic roots to this era. The formative years spent with “uncle” apparently influencing his choice of genre, which he defines as “human interest.” He finds that black and white provides a more natural look as well.
Transitioning from school to the professional life, he left his camera behind for an extended period of time. However, despite that, visions in black and white started appearing more and more in his mind, eventually rekindling his passion. Jerry decided to go back to photography to see if he still has it in him to do the art that he loves. It was 2010. He took a short course from Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation. Eventually, he decided on a different path of instruction with “The Paul Yan Experience,” a highly acclaimed photography training geared towards the more serious and passionate individuals intending to pursue their lifelong interest.
He earned a back to back award from the Prima Camera Club as Photographer of the Year for 2011 and 2012. It was also year 2012 that his photo was awarded as Photo of the Year, in black and white particularly.
In 2013, he won the Fol Rana Cup People's Choice Award at Prima Camera Club. He also won the Photographer of the Year at Avid Photographer's Club. He joined the Book My Tour Photo Contest where his photos placed 1st in Sunrise/Sunset and 2nd in Flora and Fauna Categories.
In 2014, 3 awards have been given to him: the 2014 Photographer of the Year, Photo of the Year in Black-and-White and People’s Choice of the Year, all for Prima Camera Club.
In 2016, his entry for the APEC International Photo Contest landed him in the Top 10 Finalist. Subsequently, his photo was chosen as the Most Popular Choice Award.
Now he takes his journey towards a deeper frame of mind; the one that seeks to transform emotion to another dimension.

On October 2013, her photo entitled “A Fisherman’s Cry” has been featured at IMag Photography Magazine Issue #42, as one of the Top 10 photos for iChallenge: Street Photography. In the month of April, 2014, her photo won 1st place at Photo World Cup for the theme “woods’. The photo showcases the wood carving of Paete’s National Artist Luis Ac-ac. And on February 2015 for the first judging of Photo World Cup, then again she placed 1st for the theme “Rural Life.” The photo was taken at Yambo Lake, San Pablo, Laguna. It tells a story of a father-and-son doing their daily routines of catching fish at the lake in spite of the radiant heat of the sun, which led her to be an awardee at the Photo World Cup 2015 as she ranked overall as Top 10 Photographer of the Year.
Among her mentors in photography –those she considers to have influenced how she take photos today are: Jesus Paul Yan, who allowed her to find the innate creativity and photographic style: Jerry Lee, for whom she apprenticed as photo assistant and gave her the confidence to get into event photography and whom encouraged her to took up videography as well.
In 2018, she worked overseas as a Wedding Videographer & Video Editor where she trained herself to be more confident in taking cinematic videos, learned different styles and techniques in video editing to ensure to tell stories through videos in a way that is meaningful and memorable.
